I have been providing counseling services in Hawaii for over 20 years. My career began with non-profit organizations and schools in Florida and Maui, before I opened my own practice more than a decade ago. Born and raised in Japan, I spent most of my youth there before moving to the United States to pursue my education in psychology and counseling. With my diverse background and exposure to both Eastern and Western cultures, I comfortably integrate these rich traditions into my counseling practice. I am fluent in both English and Japanese, allowing me to connect with a broader range of clients. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing and Neurofeedback which encompass cognitive, emotional, and brain/body-based modalities. I am committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients. Together, we explore ways to understand oneself and improve mental health with curiosity and compassion.
